I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Chronic Pain Coach, and former School Teacher and School Counsellor, and I’ve dedicated my career to walking alongside people who are facing the really hard parts of life. Whether you're navigating chronic pain, anxiety, parenting challenges, burnout, or a big life transition, I offer a space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported as you find your way forward. My own story has shaped the way I work. I’ve lived with chronic migraines for over 25 years, and I’ve walked beside my daughter through five years of relentless pain. I know how overwhelming it can be to feel like life is working against you, and how hard it is to keep going when you’re running on empty. Those personal experiences have made me a more grounded, compassionate therapist—and they’re a big part of why I do this work. At the heart of my work is the belief that small, gentle shifts can lead to big change. Together, we’ll build awareness, develop practical tools, and create space for more ease, authenticity, and joy in your life.

Get To Know Me Personally

I love to spend time alone to ease my nervous system, go sit by the lake and bury my feet in the sand, and take time in the morning to journal my thoughts and feelings.
-
I have always been a natural listener and value authenticity, honesty, vulnerability, and wisdom. From a young age, I was interested in relationships, families, cultures, spirituality, and how people relate to one another and navigate the struggles of life. No comic books or fiction for me ~ I like the memoirs and biographies of life. Counselling seems like a natural fit for me because it is a career that is just an extension of my personality.

When my kids were 1 & 3 years old, my husband and I sold all our belongings and moved our family overseas to a country called Azerbaijan to teach in an international school. We stayed there for 2 years and liked it enough to keep traveling and teaching. Our next location was China for 3 years, and then we moved on to Saudi Arabia, where we taught and lived for 5 years. We moved back to Kelowna when our kids were 11 & 13. I’m still amazed at how adventurous we were and am happy to have had that experience as a family.
-
An ice cream scooper. My older sisters worked at a snack shop at the golf course, and I admired how they spent their days scooping ice cream for customers.
-
I enjoy travelling, dragon boat racing, crocheting, gardening, and savouring a good latte (or two).

It’s not uncommon to feel like you don’t know what you’re going to say when you go to counselling. Don’t feel like you need to come prepared or like you need to have pinpointed what the problem is or what the solution is. This is the work that we will do together. It is through conversation and having the time and space to consider, reflect, and verbalize your thoughts and feelings that you start to gain clarity and insight.

I love helping clients move towards living a life of more ease. By the time someone comes to counselling, they can often feel like change is impossible, but it is inspiring to witness, time and again, how making a few small changes can start to shift dynamics and life can start to feel so much more manageable again.
-
Warm, friendly, understanding, and skilled at asking questions that lead to deeper understanding

You have to resurrect the deep pain within you and give it a place to live that’s not within your body. Let it live in art. Let it live in writing. Let it live in music. Let it be devoured by building brighter connections. Your body is not a coffin for pain to be buried in. Put it somewhere else.
