Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether it’s anxiety, stress, trauma, or challenges in relationships and daily life. I provide a warm, trauma-informed, and client-centered space where youth, teens, adults, and families, including those with ADHD and ASD, can explore their experiences safely and without judgment. Having worked as a teacher and now as a school counsellor, I bring a deep understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental challenges young people face, which informs my work with clients of all ages. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and person-centered techniques, I support clients in building resilience, developing healthy coping skills, strengthening their sense of self, and improving communication within families. Together, we focus on cultivating self-compassion, connection, and empowerment, fostering healing, personal growth, and the confidence to live authentically in alignment with your values. My hope is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

My favourite acts of self-care include exercising, spending time with family and friends, and taking time to unwind with a good podcast that helps me recharge.

I wanted to become a counsellor because I believe deeply in people’s capacity to grow, heal and thrive, and I wanted to be someone who could help guide that process with compassion and respect. I began my career as a teacher and discovered a passion for helping youth develop their social and emotional potential. Transitioning into school counselling allowed me to support their growth, resilience, and well-being more deeply. In private practice, I now work with youth, families, and adults to navigate life’s challenges, strengthen/develop coping skills, and foster emotional and relational well-being.
-
I’m proud of how I’ve grown through each stage of my career. Every role, from classroom teacher to school counsellor to private practitioner, has challenged me in different ways and pushed me to expand my skills. The ability to adapt, keep learning, and stay grounded in compassion has been an accomplishment that continues to shape who I am today.

I dreamed of becoming a pilot. Something about being up in the sky and exploring different places really sparked my imagination.

When I’m not counselling, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, golfing in the summer, and working on home renovation projects

Many people think counselling is only for times of crisis, but in reality, it can be valuable at any stage of life. Some come looking for clarity during a period of change, others want support navigating difficult emotions or patterns that have been holding them back, and some simply want a safe space to process experiences and make sense of their feelings. Counselling is an opportunity to explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and develop tools and strategies to live with more balance, confidence, and emotional well-being.
-
One of my favourite things about being a counsellor is witnessing the gradual shifts that happen when clients begin to see their own strength and resilience more clearly. Those moments of insight, when something clicks, or a client feels even a little more empowered, are incredibly rewarding. Supporting people as they build coping skills, discover new perspectives, and move toward a more balanced emotional life is a privilege I don’t take for granted.
